Can they truly make you happy? And are the principles on which they’re based Biblical? Learn the secrets of a practice called Couéism and examine its implications for today's Christian. Write Right: Staying True to Your Story While Staying True to Your Faith
Christian writers face a different set of expectations and obligations than secular writers, but that doesn't mean the story has to suffer. Designed for aspiring authors, this workshop will focus on finding the proper voice, subject matter and audience, as well as revising and obtaining feedback. Special concerns that Christian writers face will also be discussed. Recommended Audience: Christian Writers (7th grade and up)

A workshop designed to encourage youth to examine who they are . . . and who God wants them to be. As they learn about other teens who have lived extraordinary lives, participants examine their own personal values, set goals in alignment with God's plan for their lives, and start on the road to being “No Ordinary Teen”. This how-to class is especially designed for teachers who are looking for an engaging, product-based experience for their students. With the tremendous number of print-on demand technologies available today, students of any age can produce a book with a legitimate purpose and a real audience, but it's not easy to know where to start! This nuts and bolts workshop covers everything from formatting to cover design while showing you how to avoid some common and often costly mistakes. Recommended Audience: Teachers (Public, Christian and Home-School)
Don't Know Much About History
Even if history is seriously not your thing, there's no need to avoid writing historical fiction. An exploration of the components found in quality historical fiction will help writers to establish their own personal criteria. This workshop will not only address the research methods needed to meet these standards, but will examine some ways writers can make friends with historians and other experts who would love to help them out! Recommended Audience: Writers (7th grade and up)
